Head quartered at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, with 17,500 Soldiers, Department of the Army civilians and contractors, located at 180 locations in 45 countries, INSCOM executes mission command of operational intelligence and security forces; conducts and synchronizes worldwide multi-discipline and all-source intelligence and security operations; delivers linguist support and intelligence-related advanced skills training, acquisition support, logistics, communications, and other specialized capabilities in support of Army, Joint, and Coalition Commands and the U.S. Intelligence Community.



» 1st Information Operations Command (Land)

The 1st IO Command is the only Army full-spectrum IO organization engaged from information operations theory development and training to operational application across the range of military operations.

» 66th Military Intelligence Brigade

The 66th MI Brigade conducts theater level multi-discipline intelligence and security operations and, when directed, deploys prepared forces to conduct joint/combined expeditionary and contingency operations in support of U.S. Army Europe and U.S. European Command.

» 116th Military Intelligence Brigade

The 116th MI Brigade conducts 24/7 tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, dissemination and feedback operations of multiple organic and Joint aerial-intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (A-ISR) missions collected in overseas contingency areas of operation.


» 207th Military Intelligence Brigade

The 207th MIB (T) conducts full-spectrum intelligence in support of the United States Army Africa (USARAF) and United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM) in order to set the intelligence architecture for the theater, disrupt transnational and trans-regional threats, and promote regional stability in Africa while building and maintaining intelligence readiness.


» 300th Military Intelligence Brigade (Linguist)

The 300th MI Brigade provides trained and ready linguist and military intelligence soldiers to commanders from brigade through Army level.


» 470th Military Intelligence Brigade

The 470th MI Brigade provides timely and fused multi-discipline intelligence in support of U.S. Army South, U.S. Southern Command and other national intelligence agencies.

» 500th Military Intelligence Brigade

The 500th Military Intelligence Brigade - Theater conducts multi-discipline intelligence collection and analysis, and sets the theater for intelligence for U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) within the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility, in order to provide timely, predictive intelligence to enable commander decision making.

» 501st Military Intelligence Brigade

The 501st MI Brigade conducts theater-level multi-discipline intelligence for Joint and Combined Warfighters from the Republic of Korea.

» 513th Military Intelligence Brigade

The 513th Military Intelligence Brigade (Theater) provides tailored, multi-disciplined intelligence and intelligence capabilities in support of USARCENT and other commands' execution of Unified Land Operations in the USCENTCOM AOR.

» 704th Military Intelligence Brigade

The 704th Military Intelligence Brigade provides trained and ready forces to conduct global cryptologic operations for the National Security Agency and Army and Joint commanders.


» 706th Military Intelligence Group

The 706th Military Intelligence Group provides trained and ready Soldiers and Civilians in order to enable National Security Agency (NSA)/ Central Security Service (CSS) Georgia cryptologic operations supporting regional intelligence activities and globally deployed U.S. Forces with accurate and timely Signals Intelligence (SIGINT).


» 780th Military Intelligence Brigade

The 780th Military Intelligence Brigade conducts signals intelligence and cyberspace operations to create operational effects in and through the cyberspace domain to gain and maintain freedom of action required to support the Army and Joint requirements while denying the same to our adversaries.

» 902d Military Intelligence Group

The 902nd Military Intelligence Group provides direct and general counterintelligence support to Army activities and major commands. The group also provides general support to other military department counterintelligence and intelligence elements, unified commands, defense agencies and national agency counterintelligence and security activities and organizations.


» Army Cryptologic Operations (ACO)

ACO serves as the Army G2 and Service Cryptologic Component (SCC) representative to provide expert cryptologic leadership, support, guidance and advice to U.S. Army Warfighters and Intelligence leaders. Lead the Army’s Cryptologic effort to satisfy Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) requirements by leveraging NSA Extended Enterprise, Intelligence Community, Sister Services and Service Laboratories. Ensure timely and effective support to operations by providing optimized capabilities, training and resources.


» Army Field Support Center (AFSC)

AFSC provides specialized operational, administrative and personnel management support to Department of the Army and other Department of Defense Services and Agencies as directed.


» Army Operations Group (AOG)

USAOG conducts and enables global contingency full-spectrum Human Intelligence (HUMINT) operations in support of U.S. Army intelligence and operational requirements. USAOG enhances and sustains U.S. Army HUMINT skill sets as the U.S. Army functional HUMINT Foundry lead.


» National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC)

NGIC is the Defense Department’s primary producer of ground forces intelligence.
