

COL Patrick J. Miller graduated from Texas State University and commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer, branch detailed to Armor in 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree, in Cartography and Geographical Information Systems, a Master of Human Relations from University of Oklahoma and a Master of Strategic Studies from the National War College.
COL Miller's initial assignment was to 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment (OPFOR) in Hohenfels, Germany, where he served as a Tank Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader, and Tank Company Executive Officer. In 2004 COL Miller was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade 10th Mountain as the Battalion S-2, deploying with Task Force Warrior in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in March 2006. Upon his return, COL Miller assumed command of Bravo Company, BSTB, and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) 07-09 in November 2007. Upon completion of Company Command, COL Miller served as the Assistant Brigade S2. In 2009 COL Miller was assigned to the 66th MI BDE where he served as deputy Analysis and Control Element (ACE) Chief for United States Army Europe, in Heidelberg, Germany. In 2010, he became the 24th Military Intelligence Battalion Operations Officer in Wiesbaden, Germany. In 2012, COL Miller reported to the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany, where he served as the Regimental S2, deploying with TF Dragoon in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in June 2013. In 2014, he was subsequently assigned to the Joint Multinational Simulation Center, Grafenwohr, Germany, where he served as the Intelligence and Security Division Chief. In 2015, COL Miller was assigned to the Joint Modernization Command, Ft. Bliss, Texas, where he served as the G2. COL Miller served as the commander of the 303d Expeditionary Military Intelligence Battalion, Longhorns, from June 2018 - June 2020. Following graduation from National War College in 2021, COL Miller was assigned as the J2 For the Special Operations Joint Task Force - Levant. COL Miller is currently serving as the Army South G2 and has been selected to command the 470th MI BDE in the summer of 2023.
COL Miller is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic Course, the Military Intelligence Transition Course and Advanced Course, Imagery Intelligence Course, Combined Arms Service Staff School, the Command and General Staff Course, and the National War College.
COL Miller's awards include the Bronze Star Medal (1OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Meritorious Service Medal (5OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2OLC), Army Achievement Metal (1OLC), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Parachutist Badge. COL Miller is married and has two children and two German Shepherds.



CSM Miranda is a native of Coamo, Puerto Rico. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1999 as a tracked vehicle repairer and attended basic training at Fort Knox, KY, and advanced individual training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. He later reclassified as an Intelligence Analyst. His stateside assignments include Fort Hamilton, NY; Fort Knox, KY; Fort Riley, KS; Fort Huachuca, AZ; Fort Bliss, TX; and Fort Gordon, GA. His overseas assignments include Baumholder and Heidelberg, Germany. CSM Miranda has served in every leadership position from team leader to First Sergeant, Recruiting Station Commander, USAREC G3 Policy NCO, IJC CJ2 Watch NCOIC, USAREUR Collection Management & Requirements NCOIC, G-2 Operations NCOIC, Brigade Combat Team S2 NCOIC, MICO 1SG, Career Manager for MOS 35F/X/Z, Office of the Chief of Military Intelligence (OCMI) SGM, BDE S3 SGM, and most recently as the 707th MI Battalion Command Sergeant Major. He has deployed to Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait for combat and peacekeeping operations.
CSM Miranda’s military education includes all levels of Professional Military Education, Army Recruiter and Station Commander Course, Mission Command Digital Master Gunner Course, 1SG Course, Force Management Orientation Course, Capabilities Development Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, Master Resilience Training, Sergeants Major Course, and the Army Coaching Program Course. His civilian education includes an Associate of Applied Science in Intelligence Operations Studies, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Homeland Security, a Master of Arts Degree in Intelligence Studies, an Executive Certificate in Strategic Leadership, and he is currently a Doctoral candidate for the Doctor of Strategic Leadership program at Liberty University.
CSM Miranda’s awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (7th Award), the Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), the Army Achievement Medal (6th Award), the Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Kosovo Campaign Service Medal (1 Bronze Star), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 5), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (numeral 4), NATO Medal (2nd Award), Mechanic’s Badge, Driver’s Badge (wheel), the Recruiter’s Gold Badge with Sapphires, and the Recruiter Ring. He is a recipient of the Military Intelligence Corps Association Knowlton Award and a member of the distinguished Sergeant Audie Murphy Club.
