- Joint Base San Antonio
- Joint Base San Antonio achieved Full Operational Capability on Oct. 1, 2010, at which time the 502nd Air Base Wing became the host unit for Fort Sam Houston, Randolph Air Force Base, Lackland Air Force Base and Camp Bullis (a sub-post of Fort Sam Houston). While all four installations are part of JBSA, none share a common fence line, and each maintains its historic identify.
- Sam Houston
- Fort Sam Houston is located northeast of downtown San Antonio, Texas. It is accessible from Loop 410, Interstate Highway 35 and U.S. Highway 281. The post is surrounded by San Antonio, the seventh largest city in the United States. Some interesting places to visit include the Alamo, the Riverwalk, the historic missions, the Alamodome, the San Antonio Zoo and the Witte Museum. San Antonio is known as "Military City USA" because of the large number of active and retired military in the community.

- Fort Sam Houston was founded in 1845 and named for General Sam Houston, hero of the battle of San Jacinto and the first president of the Republic of Texas. Fort Sam Houston is unique among Army posts. On one hand, it is a major, active military installation and plays a vital role in the defense of the United States. On the other hand, it contains some of the oldest structures on any Army installation. This blend of old and new gives today's Soldiers a share of the post's history which dates back more than 150 years.

- Camp Bullis
- Located in northwest San Antonio, Camp Bullis serves a training area for Active and Reserve Forces as well as other federal agencies. It covers about 27,000 acres of rugged Texas hill country.

The 470th Military Intelligence Brigade held the ribbon cutting ceremony
Feb. 1, 2010, to mark the official opening of its headquarters building,
Building 1070, on JBSA-Fort Sam Houston. The ribbon cutting came two Years after the ground breaking, which took place Feb. 14, 2008. Building 1070 houses the planning and operations of the brigade, 312th Military
Intelligence Battalion and 201st Military Intelligence Battalion. The
brigade occupies the lower four floors of the 155,000-square-foot, six-story building.
